Comment on Who else Wants To Slap Paris Hilton? by Mystery Maiden

The reason Paris Hilton is even known these days is because people keep talking about her. Drinking and driving is one of the stupidest, and unneccessary things one can do. If PH didn't have enough cash for a cab (which I HIGHLY doubt) and she didn't have a driver, and she couldn't call a single person in the world for a ride, then she deserves prison. I wish everyone who drank and drive went to jail.

You're right - we SHOULD be proud of ourselves. We're women making a difference, and we're doing it without media frenzy, daddy's money or anorexia! haha.

You go, Business Buddha! Props to you for deciding what you want, and running to get it when it showed up. For those who think the vision board thing sounds a little 'out there,' just give it a try. The first one I did, I hid like it was a dirty magazine...but I looked at it every night and every morning. Now, the one I did with you at the retreat is proudly up in my office, right in my line of vision. And, guess what? Both of them have come to life! Not all at once, not instantaneously, but consistently and sometimes pretty darn quick, like your Palm Springs adventure.

Wow, Viki! You are such a fireball. I love your can-do attitude in EVERYTHING. And I'm sooo jealous you went to Hawaii without me. I'm glad CHRIS was there though. Sounds romantic.

Comment on Oprah, The Secret, Mindset shift…is it a fad?? by Susan Marie

Viki, you are right the buzz right now is all about The Secret. I can tell you from my own personal experience it does work. I believe each of you can look into your own life and actually pin point times when you were in perfect harmony with the Universe. Those are the times when everything seemed to be going perfectly and you felt the joy and the exileration of your happiness or success and you wanted to feel like that all the time. Then lo and behold something happened and you shifted back into worry, frustration or anger and everything around you started doing the same thing. You found you were easily getting upset and agitated with your life, your job, your kids, your spouce etc., and the joyful and happy feelings took a back seat to the frustration, anger, etc.

One of the most amazing things I have found about The Secret is that it teaches you to recognize what you are doing and that you have the power to shift those frustrating and angry feelings and start to focus on the good feelingds in your life.

I'm beginning a series of Blogs on The Secret at www.womenlivingbeautifully.com within the next couple of days. We will be discussing how to bring The Secret into your life one chunk at a time. One of the reasons we are doing that is because trying to make that brain shift all at once it is a huge undertaking for just about everyone. And in most cases people try it once or twice and then they forget about it because they don't think it really works.

Reading the the book and watching the CD over and over is something I highly recommend but actually putting those ideas into action is much harder because the human mind leans more towards negativity. Why, because that is an easy and familiar emotion to each and every one of us. So we have to retrain our brains to think on a different level, one thought at a time. But boy what an accomplishment when you succeed.
